La experiencia de realización de un documental, de impronta autorreferencial y que a la vez es la historia de un grupo marginado socialmente, sobre vivencias de persecución y violencia institucional se transforma en una acción con implicancias sociales, culturales y políticas al dotar a las personas y grupos de un material que permite organizarse para debatir ideas, reclamar derechos y continuar la lucha política. Los Maricones nos traslada desde los calabozos hasta la escena de un estreno cinematográfico, transformando así, a través del cine, los sufrimientos en arte y alegría.
