To do this, we address a general characterization of the state of affairs in relation to the notions of federalism and distribution of powers, which will allow us to delve into the specific objective in order to observe the protective legal figures at different scales, with special emphasis on the province of San Luis. El presente artículo se enmarca en el proyecto de investigación PROICO UNSL 15-1020 “Política y Derecho Ambiental” que se desarrolla en la Facultad de Ciencias Económicas, Jurídicas y Sociales de la Universidad Nacional de San Luis, donde pretendemos describir y analizar las políticas ambientales nacionales y provinciales en materia de protección de recursos naturales (parques, reservas, áreas protegidas) y los conflictos que se suscitan en su intergubernamentalidad.Para ello abordamos una caracterización general del estado de situación en relación a las nociones de federalismo y distribución de competencias, lo que nos permitirá profundizar sobre el objetivo específico a efectos de observar en las distintas escalas las figuras jurídicas protectorias, haciendo especial hincapié en la provincia de San Luis.
