I decided to publish it in the Revistade of the University, the desire to make known among us a personality of the art, of which so much the universal critic of the last times has taken care of. El presente trabajo fué leído en una audición del Centro Musical, consagrada a las obras de César Franck, razón por la cual aparece desarrollado según el plan impuesto por esas circunstancias. La segunda parte contiene, propiamente, el estudio de la obra del gran artista. Me decidí a publicarlo en la Revistade la Universidad, el deseo de hacer conocer entre nosotros una personalidad del arte, de la que tanto se ha ocupado la crítica universal de los últimos tiempos.
