A century ago, his parents came from the distant Kingdom of Montenegro, possibly fleeing that troubled Balkan region because of its war against the Austro-Hungarian Empire (1914-1916) and the Turkish-Greek war (1919-1922), joining millions of European immigrants who, because of hunger, war or unemployment, fled to Argentina in those years. Tito Kesman was born on 7 March 1941 in Corzuela, Province of Chaco, an agricultural colony made up of Yugoslav, Polish and Bulgarian migrants.He graduated as Public Accountant (1964), Lic. in Economic Sciences (1968) and finally Dr. in Economic Sciences (1970), at the National University of Cordoba (UNC). He was Dean of the Faculty of Economics, UNC (1973-74) and Vice Rector of the Universidad Católica de Córdoba (2000-2003).He was also President of IIERAL of the Fundación Mediterránea, President of the Pro Córdoba Agency (2004-2006) and Undersecretary of National Foreign Trade (1991-1995). He was distinguished with the rank of Commander of the Order of Rio Branco in the Republic of Brazil (1995). Highly esteemed for his human values and his honesty (intellectual and otherwise), in recent years he has served as President of ACDE-Córdoba, and as a member of the Advisory Council of the Institute of Economics of the Bolsa de Comercio de Córdoba. El pasado 10 de marzo, a la edad de 80 años, falleció en Córdoba el economista Dr. Carlos Vido Kesman Salomón, más conocido como Tito Kesman, una lamentable víctima más de la pandemia que sin tregua azota al mundo desde hace 15 meses. Un siglo atrás, sus padres procedían del lejano Reino de Montenegro, posiblemente huyendo de aquella convulsionada región balcánica por su guerra contra el imperio austrohúngaro (1914-1916) y por la guerra turca-griega (1919-1922), sumándose así a millones de inmigrantes europeos que por hambre, guerras o desempleo, huían hacia Argentina en aquellos años. Tito Kesman había nacido el 7 de marzo de 1941 en Corzuela, Provincia de Chaco, colonia agrícola constituida por migrantes yugoslavos, polacos y búlgaros. Se graduó de Contador Público (1964), Lic. En Ciencias Económicas (1968) y finalmente de Dr. en Ciencias Económicas (1970), siempre en la Universidad Nacional de Córdoba (UNC). Fue Decano de la Facultad de Ciencias Económicas, UNC (1973-74) y Vice Rector la de Universidad Católica de Córdoba (2000-2003). También fue Presidente del IIERAL de la Fundación Mediterránea, Presidente de la Agencia Pro Córdoba (2004-2006) y Subsecretario de Comercio Exterior de la Nación (1991-1995). Fue distinguido con el Grado de Comendador de la Orden de Río Branco en la República de Brasil (1995) . Muy estimado por sus valores humanos y su honestidad (la intelectual y la otra), en los últimos años se desempeñó como Presidente de ACDE-Córdoba, y miembro del Consejo Asesor del Instituto de Economía de la Bolsa de Comercio de Córdoba.
