In turn, to analyse the effect of product and process innovation on performance. A study was carried out on a sample of 259 industrial SMEs in the province of Córdoba, Argentina. The data was analyzed through Structural Equation Modeling, using the Smart PLS software. The results show firstly that the constructions used by the model are valid and reliable. The study provides evidence that the constructs Intellectual Capital, Human Capital, Structural Capital and Relational Capital have significant and positive effects on innovation in products and processes, in the context of the analyzed sample. While analyzing the effect of product and process innovation on performance, it was found that there is a positive and significant relationship of process innovation to performance, while product innovation shows a positive but not significant relationship.
