description This writing, nourished by dialogue with other educators, proposes a work of reflection that recovers part of the Freirean legacy in Latin American decolonial pedagogies and establishes relationships with the problems of neo-extractivism -specifically agribusiness-, in a bet that problematizes the relationship between nature and culture that we build and that guides our educational practices. It arises, then, from a problematization of the extractivism category, the relationship between nature and culture proposed from European modernity-coloniality. Subsequently, the continuities that appeared in the construction of modern national states and the hegemonic educational models that somehow reproduced those colonial relations in Abya Ayala are addressed. Finally, the contributions of Paulo Freire as a reference of decolonial pedagogies are recovered, to review and recreate links in and with the world from Abya Ayala. Why is it relevant to reflect on extractivism in education from experiences located in Abya Ayala? What contributions of the teacher allow to pay the transforming horizon of pedagogical practices?

Why is it relevant to reflect on extractivism in education from experiences located in Abya Ayala? What contributions of the teacher allow to pay the transforming horizon of pedagogical practices?
