This paper analyzes the relationship between social movements and the government of Rafael Correa. El desarrollo del gobierno de Rafael Correa en el Ecuador (2007-2017) ha sido un proceso vertiginoso y “exitoso”. Sin embargo, las organizaciones y movimientos sociales, que durante la década de los 90 se habían convertido en los actores políticos más importantes en la confrontación al neoliberalismo, no lograron el mismo éxito.
