The present work is intended to analyze the relationship between agriculture and economic growth supported on econometric estimation. The main results suggested that there is a positive effect of the agricultural yields upon the product in the long run but negative in the short run. La agricultura en Argentina se ha destacado en los últimos años por su crecimiento, dinamismo, como también, por las controversias en relación a su papel como motor de la economía y a las retenciones agropecuarias. El objetivo del presente trabajo es analizar la relación entre agricultura y crecimiento económico, a partir de un análisis de causalidad y regresiones de crecimiento. Los principales resultados sugieren que existe un efecto positivo de largo plazo de los rendimientos agrícolas sobre el producto, pero negativos a corto plazo. Instituto de Economía y Finanzas.
