Especially, it is being tryed to comprehend why homosexual identities among men have been expressed through the embodyment of feminine characters in a ñuu savi (mixtec) dance over the past few years. The aim of this investigation leads to question how these processes are being configured in webs of communal meaning and add up knowledge for practices towards the descolonization of "Nuestra America". El artículo analiza los significados sociohistóricos de la relación género-sexualidad y su reactualización en el pueblo de Santa María Huazolotitlan, en Oaxaca, México. Especialmente, se intenta comprender por qué en los últimos años ha irrumpido la expresión de la identidad homosexual de varones, a partir de realizar los personajes femeninos de una danza tradicional ñuu savi (mixteca). El propósito es conocer como estos procesos se articulan en redes de sentido comunal y abonan al conocimiento de las prácticas descolonizadoras de la pluriculturalidad de Nuestra América.
