To do this, first, the conceptualizations of female identity and its targets on wage labor will be explored. Secondly, the representations about the women work in two types of periodicals will be inquired about: on the one hand, general interest and feminine magazines, both predominantly of commercial character, and the union press. Finally, the paper deal with Marpons’ proposal on social inequities, but also on the benefits affecting women workers. Este artículo tiene por objetivo reconstruir el análisis que la escritora y militante socialista Josefina Marpons desarrolló sobre “la mujer que trabaja”, en la revista comercial Mundo Argentino, a mediados de la década de 1930. Para ello, en primer lugar, se recorrerán las conceptualizaciones sobre la identidad femenina y sus derivas sobre el trabajo asalariado. Segundo, se indagarán los análisis y las representaciones sobre el trabajo de las mujeres en dos tipos de publicaciones periódicas: las revistas de interés general y las femeninas, ambas de carácter predominan-temente comercial, y la prensa sindical. Por último, se ahondará en la propuesta de Marpons sobre las inequidades sociales pero también los beneficios que afectaban a las trabajadoras. Facultad de Filosofía y Humanidades.
