Ernesto Pollitt has dedicated 40 years of his life to investigating the consequences of malnutrition on the psychological development of children in various parts of the world, including Peru. His work has opened new lines of research in the country and the world, and has promoted the implementation of various social aid programs in Peru. El día lunes 4 de enero del 2016, el psicólogo peruano Ernesto Pollitt, falleció en Lima a los 77 años de edad, su obra y su memoria sin embargo, quedan con nosotros. Ernesto Pollitt se ha dedicado durante 40 años de su vida a la investigación de las consecuencias de la desnutrición en el desarrollo psicológico de los niños y niñas de diversas partes del mundo, incluyendo el Perú. Su trabajo ha permitido abrir nuevas líneas de investigación en el país y el mundo, y ha promovido la implementación de diversos programas de ayuda social en el Perú.
