The article explores the trajectory of its origin and arguments in favor of the “culture of peace” during the world war. The investigation seeks to add elements for a sociohistorical reconstruction of the right-wing´s cultural and ideological paradigms. At the same time, it also proposed to dialogue with the study of the cultural dimension of the “Cold War” in Latin America. The hypothesis is that the organization has been the focal point for the recreation of a political community during the stronism and at the same time, it has visibilízate internationally Paraguay as a country without conflicts to resist the Mediterranean standing. Este artículo se propone reconstruir el origen y la historia política de la Cruzada Mundial de la Amistad (1958) a partir del estudio de la principal fuente disponible, la revista oficial de la organización. Se busca indagar en la trayectoria de los actores que le dieron origen y en sus discursos a favor de una denominada “cultura de la paz” en momentos en el que el mundo libraba una guerra mundial. La investigación busca sumar elementos para una reconstrucción sociohistórica de los paradigmas culturales e ideológicos de las derechas al tiempo que se propone dialogar con el paradigma de estudio sobre la dimensión cultural de la Guerra Fría en América Latina. Parte de la hipótesis que la organización fue punto central de la recreación de una comunidad política en el marco de la construcción de legitimidad del stronismo y al mismo tiempo permitió visibilizar internacionalmente a un Paraguay sin conflictos para combatir la imagen de mediterraneidad.
