His writings in Criterio developed several subjects in a catholic view. He wrote about nationalism, which was a main issue at that time. This article’s aim is to work on Franceschi’s view about that issue, taking on account that he was a Catholic Church spokesman, during the re-cristianization process of 1930’s. As a spokesman from Church hierarchy, he analized nationalism as he criticized liberalism and democracy. At the same time, he characterized a “right nationalism”, consisting in: patriotic, catholic, spiritual and cautious.
