This correctional project, which was administered by the Order of the Buen Pastor, stood aside from the punitive modernization. While it is possible to identify elements of reformist prison in the institution, we believe it presents, mostly, remnants of the administration of pre-modern way of punishment. In order to inquire into the features of this correctional project the research focused on the study of two main dimensions: the social universe and the institutional logic.   El siguiente trabajo aborda la etapa de construcción y ejecución inicial de un proyecto correccional femenino en Córdoba (Argentina), a través del estudio de la Cárcel Correccional de Mujeres y Asilo del Buen Pastor durante los años 1892-1910. Sostenemos que este proyecto correccional, administrado por las religiosas de la Orden homónima, se habría mantenido al margen de la modernización penitenciaria ya que, si bien manifestó algunos elementos tributarios del reformismo penitenciario, presentó mayoritariamente resabios de una modalidad de castigo pre-moderna. Para indagar en las características asumidas por este proyecto nos centramos en dos variables de análisis: lógica institucional y universo social. Facultad de Filosofía y Humanidades.
