This article presents a brief overview of the manifestations of graphic humor appeared in Uruguay in newspapers and specific supplements, trying to add items to the knowledge of this period from the focus on a particular expressive medium, which had those years a special expansion in this country. The humor cartoons are particularly expressive of the political posturing, but especially for the sensitivities of the different imaginaries that coexist in a society, and the definitions that each group performs in the symbolic field. This converts them into sources of enormous value to the understanding of a period in which there were strong symbolic struggles simultaneously to power struggles and deep changes in economic, social and political spheres.  El período entre 1967 y 1973 representa un momento crítico en la historia reciente del Uruguay, signado por la crisis económica, la movilización social, la violencia política y la represión por parte del Estado. Este artículo presenta un breve panorama de las manifestaciones de humor gráfico aparecidas en los periódicos y suplementos específicos uruguayos durante este período. Se espera sumar elementos al conocimiento de la época y los procesos que en ella se llevaron a cabo desde la focalización en un medio de expresión particular, que tuvo en estos años una especial expansión en el país, como es el humor. Las viñetas humorísticas son particularmente expresivas de las posturas políticas pero especialmente de las sensibilidades, de los distintos imaginarios que conviven en una sociedad, de las definiciones que cada grupo realiza en el campo de lo simbólico. Ello las convierte en fuentes de enorme valor para la comprensión de un período en el que se dieron fuertes luchas simbólicas de modo simultáneo a las luchas de poder y cambios a nivel económico, social y político.
