We show evidence that deoxygenation leads to a reduction of bulk pinning strength evidenced by a decrease in the value of the third, fifth and seventh harmonics. We compare our measurements with a numerical model that includes effects of flux creep and sample geometry where the activation barrier depends explicitly on temperature. © 2002 Elsevier Science B.V.
