The solvent extraction of titanium, niobium and tantalum thiocyanates is studied in detail. The effect of the variables (solvent, concentration of thiocyanate, acidity, etc.) is discussed. There is evidence for the existence of a thiocyanate complex of tantalum. © 1963.
