Sumario:We discuss the validity of the Galilei invariance in nuclei. The experimentally measured changes in the dipole energy weighted sum rule, due to their magnitude, cannot be explained only by the relative motion of protons and neutrons. Additionally we reemphasize that the usual mean field descriptions introduce violations of the Galilei invariance. © 1999 The American Physical Society.
