New Valanginian–Hauterivian neocomitid ammonites from the Neuquén Basin, Argentina
Three distinct, rich neocomitid faunas occur in the Agrio Formation (middle Valanginian to lowermost Barremian). In the ammonite sequences between, neocomitids are very rare and limited to two thin horizons. The lower, upper Valanginian level has yielded Neocomites (Varlheideites) cf. peregrinus Raw...
