Reconocido por revolucionar la literatura infantil con su estilo artístico basado en el collage, creó más de 40 libros para niños, entre ellos Swimmy, Frederick y Pequeño Azul y Pequeño Amarillo. Su obra combina sencillez visual con profundas fábulas sobre la vida, la comunidad y la creatividad. Falleció en Italia en 1999, dejando un legado que sigue inspirando a lectores de todas las edades. | ||

Of course, what he doesn't take into account is the changes wrought by autumn, and soon the green chameleon is yellow, then red, and then tumbled to the ground for the long black winter night. It isn't until he befriends another older, wiser chameleon that our hero begins to find inner peace, even as his outer surface is transformed again and again. | ||
