En los últimos años, sin embargo, los almanaques, calendarios y guías de forasteros han comenzado a ser explorados en su materialidad y contenido (Poblete 2003, Botrel 2006, Szir 2018, Pastormerlo 2014). Las Salas Museo de la Biblioteca de la UNLP conservan, en sus armarios, quince almanaques que recorren el siglo XIX, desde la Lima posrevolucionaria (1825) hasta la Corrientes confederada (1860), y que nos invitan a revisar las nociones comunes en torno a este tipo de impresos que combinaban una duración específica (se desechaban al cabo de un año) con una práctica cotidiana (buscaban ser útiles en la vida diaria, privada y familiar). A partir del relevamiento realizado a lo largo del período octubre 2023-mayo 2024 se llevó a cabo una descripción breve y general con fines de catalogación, seguido por el análisis y la propuesta de hipótesis interpretativas. La convergencia de temporalidades (cívica, eclesiástica, natural, privada), la presencia de anotaciones manuscritas y el progresivo ingreso de las variedades nos permiten argumentar a favor de la centralidad de los almanaques en el proceso de ampliación de los públicos lectores del siglo XIX, así como de su participación en las transformaciones materiales de los impresos en la segunda mitad del siglo. | |

In recent years, however, almanacs, calendars, and guides for foreigners have begun to be explored in their materiality and content (Poblete 2003, Botrel 2006, Szir 2018, Pastormerlo 2024). The "Salas Museo" of the UNLP Public Library house, in their cabinets, fifteen almanacs that cover the 19th century, from post-revolutionary Lima (1825) to the Confederate Corrientes (1860). They invite us to revisit the common notions surrounding this type of printed works, which combined a specific duration (they were discarded after a year) with an everyday practice (they sought to be useful in daily, private, and family life). Based on the survey carried out over the period October 2023-May 2024, a brief and general description was carried out for cataloging purposes, followed by analysis and the proposal of interpretive hypotheses. The convergence of temporalities (civic, ecclesiastical, natural, private), the presence of handwritten notes, and the progressive introduction of varieties allow us to argue in favor of the centrality of almanacs in the process of expanding the reading public in the 19th century, as well as their participation in the material transformations of printed materials in the second half of the century. | |

In den letzten Jahren wurden Almanache, Kalender und Reiseführer jedoch zunehmend hinsichtlich ihrer Materialität und ihres Inhalts untersucht (Poblete 2003, Botrel 2006, Szir 2018, Pastormerlo 2014). Die Museumsräume der UNLP-Bibliothek beherbergen in ihren Vitrinen fünfzehn Almanache, die das 19. Jahrhundert vom nachrevolutionären Lima (1825) bis zu den Confederate Corrientes (1860) abdecken. Sie laden dazu ein, die gängigen Vorstellungen dieser Art von Druckwerken zu überdenken, die eine bestimmte Dauer (sie wurden nach einem Jahr entsorgt) mit einer alltäglichen Praxis (ihr Anspruch war es, im täglichen, privaten und familiären Leben nützlich zu sein) verbanden. Basierend auf der im Zeitraum von Oktober 2023 bis Mai 2024 durchgeführten Untersuchung wurde eine kurze und allgemeine Beschreibung zu Katalogisierungszwecken erstellt, gefolgt von einer Analyse und der Entwicklung von Interpretationshypothesen. Die Konvergenz verschiedener Zeitlichkeiten (bürgerlich, kirchlich, naturwissenschaftlich, privat), das Vorhandensein handschriftlicher Notizen und die fortschreitende Einführung verschiedener Varianten lassen die zentrale Rolle von Almanachen bei der Ausweitung des Lesepublikums im 19. Jahrhundert sowie ihre Beteiligung an der materiellen Transformation gedruckter Materialien in der zweiten Hälfte des Jahrhunderts vermuten. | |
