| 520 | 3 | |a This article seeks to identify the interest and experiences of physical education students regarding swimming during graduation. Methodologically, this is a descriptive, cross-sectional study conducted with data collected between September and October 2018. Thirty-two students from an educational institution in Guarapuava/PR participated, and a structured interview was employed, with the results analyzed through descriptive statistics. The findings reveal that the interviewed students expressed satisfaction with the discipline, with 65.6porciento reporting it to be a great experience for them. Furthermore, 96,8porciento indicated their intention to include swimming into their professional practice (96,9porciento); however, one of the main concerns raised was the anticipated lack of materials they would encounter in their future teaching careers (21.4porciento). In conclusion, the study demonstrates that students of the swimming discipline display interests in the practice and intend to incorporate the content into their future work in schools. The experience with the course was very successful. They also expressed concerns about the infrastructure of schools to support this content. | |

Método:estudo descritivo e transversal, com coleta de dados entre setembro e outubro de 2018, junto a 32 acadêmicos de uma instituição de ensino de Garapuava, Paraná, Brasil. Para a coleta de dados, realizou-se entrevista estruturada. A análise ocorreu por estatística descritiva. Resultados: os alunos entrevistados demonstraram satisfeitos com a disciplina trabalhada durante a graduação, sendo que 65,2porciento reconheceram como uma ótima experiência. Afirmaram também que atuariam nessa área (96,9porciento), porém, preocupados (21,4porciento) com a possível falta de materiais. Conclusão: o estudo mostrou que os estudantes da disciplina de natação possuem interesses na prática e futuramente trabalhar com o conteúdo na escola. Ainda, mostraram que a experiencia na disicplina foi ótima. Também reportaram a preocupação com a infraestrutura das escolas para atender o conteúdo. | |
