<dc:description>Buildings, cities and landscapes reflect the cultural goals of a society. Every stage of its evolution is
reflected in the built production. Architects are a non-stop engine in the process of «making city» and thus,
adding to its character or modifying it.
The present preliminary work is aimed at students and those interested in the subject on the special
character of the contemporary architecture in Buenos Aires. We have considered «contemporary», in a quite
ample criterion, the architectural works of the last thirty years. The essays and itinerary included are by no
means an attempt to show all the production of these years but to enhance the examples which, following
the authors’ perception, are worth being considered part of Buenos Aires recent architectural heritage.</dc:description>
<dc:description>Edificios, ciudades y paisajes reflejan las metas y los logros de una sociedad. Cada etapa de su evolución
se refleja en su producción arquitectónica, y los arquitectos son los protagonistas principales en este
proceso de «hacer ciudad», sumando con su obra al carácter de la misma o modificándolo.
Este trabajo preliminar está pensado para estudiantes e interesados en general en la problemática de la
arquitectura contemporánea de Buenos Aires. Hemos considerado el concepto de «contemporáneo» con un
criterio amplio, abarcando la producción arquitectónica de los últimos treinta años. Los ensayos y el itinerario
incluido no pretenden mostrar toda la producción del período sino poner en valor aquellos ejemplos que,
a juicio de los autores, serían dignos de ser considerados parte del patrimonio arquitectónico reciente de
Buenos Aires.</dc:description>
