<dc:description>El objetivo de este trabajo es mostrar desde una perspectiva histórico-crítica el cruce entre la psicología y el arte, para situar los aportes de la primera a la fundamentación teórica y la experimentación plástica de los movimientos de arte concreto brasileño y argentino de las décadas del ´40 y el ´50. A la vez, este trabajo se inscribe en un proyecto de investigación más amplio que indaga las relaciones entre psicología y orden social. En particular, nos centramos en la inserción de la psicología en la cultura más amplia, locus en el que diversas áreas de la actividad humana (entre ellas, el arte) incorporan o se basan en los saberes psi como modo de hallar en la ciencia una justificación posible o una teoría que amplíe o potencie de alguna forma sus prácticas (Grassi, 2018).</dc:description>
<dc:description>The objective of this work is to show from a historical-critical perspective the cross between psychology and art to place the contributions of the first to the theoretical foundation and the plastic experimentation of the Brazilian and Argentinean concrete art movements of the decades of the ´40 and the ´50. At the same time, it is part of a broader research project that investigates the connections between psychology and social order. In particular, we focus on the insertion of psychology into the broader culture, a locus in which various areas of human activity (including art) incorporate or rely on “psi” knowledge as a way of finding in science a possible justification or a theory that expands or enhances their practices in some way (Grassi, 2018).</dc:description>
