<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">This text aims at the comparative study of the critical and literary productions of Jorges Luis Borges and Carlos Drummond de Andrade elaborated in the 1920s and 1930s, during which time the two writers anonymous crossed the streets of their respective cities as aspirants to a literary career. I try to examine two poems concerning the city, a sign valued by the two writers, from which it seems possible to approach the ambivalent movements that both establish between the search and recognition of the impossibility of a stable identity, attachment and displacements that provoke on the respective literary traditions.</dc:description>
<dc:description xml:lang="es-ES">Este texto propone un estudio comparado de poemas de Jorge Luis Borges y Carlos Drummond de Andrade elaborados en los decenios de 1920 y 1930, período en que los dos escritores cruzaban las calles de sus respectivas ciudades como aspirantes a una carrera literaria. Trato de examinar un par de poemas concernientes a la ciudad moderna, signo valorado por los dos escritores, a partir de los cuales parece posible abordar los movimientos contradictorios que ambos establecen entre la búsqueda y el reconocimiento de la imposibilidad de una identidad estable, el apego y los desplazamientos que provocan sobre las respectivas tradiciones literarias.</dc:description>
