<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">In this work we analyze some of the letters that Federico García Lorca wrote from New York and Havana during his 1929 trip. This epistolary highlights not only the poet's scriptural projects but also allows us to reconstruct a particular image of the traveler. Our hypothesis is that García Lorca figures himself in his American letters as a child and from that position of enunciation builds his story about the experience of the trip. Our work reviews some of the central categories to understand the problem of childhood in literature, analyzes the letters that allow reading children's figurations and traces some relationships with the poetic work of the Granada-born man</dc:description>
<dc:description xml:lang="es-ES">En este trabajo analizamos algunas de las cartas que Federico García Lorca escribió desde Nueva York y La Habana durante su viaje de 1929. Este epistolario pone de manifiesto no solo los proyectos escriturales del poeta sino que permite reconstruir una particular imagen del viajero. Nuestra hipótesis es que García Lorca se autofigura en sus cartas americanas como un niño y desde esa posición de enunciación construye su relato sobre la experiencia del viaje. Nuestro trabajo reseña algunas de las categorías centrales para entender el problema de la infancia en la literatura, analiza las cartas que permiten leer las figuraciones infantiles y traza algunas relaciones con la obra poética del granadino.</dc:description>
