<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">This paper analyses the process of feminist knowledge production in Central America, starting in the 1980’s. The analysis is conducted from the perspective of the Sociology of Knowledge; situating the production of saberes in the context from which they emerged. Moreover, the production of feminist knowledge is understood as a terrain always in dispute, resulting from the complex and contradictory relationship among feminists situated in the different spaces and places of enunciation, both as academics and as militants. The paper concludes that despite the difficulties and contradictions, Feminist Studies in the Central American region have been and continue to be a fundamental strategy to encourage the production of knowledge from the perspective of the different women in order to transform the traditional ways in which knowledge is produced and to question the falsified, partial and perverse narratives and representations about social life, generated by a traditional, androcentric and colonial science.&nbsp;</dc:description>
<dc:description xml:lang="es-ES">En este trabajo se analiza el proceso de construcción del pensamiento feminista en Centroamérica, en particular a partir de la década de los años 80. El análisis se realiza desde la perspectiva de la Sociología del Conocimiento; es decir, situando los procesos de producción de los saberes en el contexto en el que surgieron. Asimismo, la producción del conocimiento feminista es entendida como un territorio siempre en disputa, resultado de la relación compleja y contradictoria entre las feministas situadas en los diferentes espacios y lugares de enunciación, tanto académicos como de militancia. Se concluye que a pesar de las dificultades y contradicciones, los Estudios Feministas en la región centroamericana han sido y siguen siendo una estrategia fundamental para fomentar la producción del saber desde la perspectiva de las diversas mujeres, para transformar las formas tradicionales de construir el conocimiento y para cuestionar las narraciones y representaciones falsificadas, parciales y perversas sobre la vida social producidas desde la ciencia tradicional, androcéntrica y colonial.&nbsp;</dc:description>
