<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">This article explores the techniques of estrangement in the field of pedagogy, through which Professor Javier Seguí de la Riva tries to awaken the interest of his students through a radical exploratory drawing. The text is part of an investigation that seeks to reflect to what extent the strangeness can be treated in the architectural conception, considering it in its double condition of being, on the one hand, a state provoked by the unexpected, by the surprise, by the rupture of the conventional, and on the other as an operative and provocative tool. We will try to illustrate some of their teaching proposals through the exercises proposed in the Department of Graphic Ideation, at the School of Architecture of Madrid, based on a peculiar way of proceeding, in order to enhance the imagination, escape from clichés, of the everyday, to try to understand and project architecture. From these reflections it is intended to reveal some mechanisms of generation and communication of the project through estrangement and distancing actions.</dc:description>
<dc:description xml:lang="es-ES">Este artículo indaga sobre las técnicas de extrañamiento en el ámbito de la pedagogía, mediante las cuales el arquitecto y profesor Javier Seguí de la Riva en la Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Madrid, trata de despertar el interés de sus alumnos a través de un dibujo exploratorio radical. El texto forma parte de la investigación desarrollada en la tesis doctoral Extrañamientos: exploraciones y técnicas operativas en arte y arquitectura, que busca reflexionar en qué medida la extrañeza puede ser tratada en la concepción arquitectónica, considerándola en su doble condición de ser, por un lado, un estado provocado por lo inesperado, por la sorpresa, por la ruptura de lo convencional, y por otro como herramienta operativa y&nbsp; provocadora. Se describen algunas propuestas docentes a través de los ejercicios propuestos en el departamento de Ideación Gráfica, basados en un modo peculiar de proceder, con el fin de potenciar la imaginación, huir de los clichés, de lo cotidiano, para tratar comprender y proyectar arquitectura. A partir de estas reflexiones se pretenden desvelar algunos mecanismos de generación y comunicación de proyectos mediante acciones de extrañamiento.</dc:description>
