<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">This work aims to investigate the metaphorical recurrence of the labyrinth, present in the continuity of an anti-erudite strategy that links José Bergamín with María Zambrano. In this way, Hans Blumenberg's metaphorology is relevant as a methodological framework for investigation about the historical transformations of some images in their use within philosophical discourse. Within the Spanish intellectual field of the mid-twentieth century, the particular case of the labyrinth gives cohesion to an anti-erudite genealogy of Unamuno origin. Its metaphorical use by authors such as José Bergamín and María Zambrano not only exhibits the irrationalist trace, but also helps to consolidate a new philosophy based on the symbolic scope of the literary and its incidence in relation to a new type of history more linked to the subject than to books.</dc:description>
