Absorption and emission spectra of the merocyanine (MC) form of 6- nitrobenzospiropyran (SP), as well as the kinetics of the thermal decay of MC to SP, were measured in solvent mixtures of ethanol-hexane, ethanol-toluene and acetonitrile-toluene.
