Sumario:The slow flow of a power law non-Newtonian liquid on an incline plane under the effect of gravity and the viscous stresses was investigated. The governing equations were derived within the lubrication approximation for the evolution of the free surface and the velocity of the fluid under the effect of gravity and viscous stresses. It was found that with the inclusion of surface tension effects, the governing equations can be used as a starting point to investigate the influence of rheology on the fingering instability and other phenomenon of interest.
