In the present work we have been able to demonstrate the phenobarbital and lead exert an inducing effect on the biosynthesis of δ-aminovulenic acid synthase, ferrochelatase and cytochrome P-450 hemoproteins in isolated rat hepatocytes of normal adult rats.
