Sumario:Considering an interface between an isotropic medium and a uniaxial crystal when the incidence plane is a principal plane, we study the variation of Brewster's angle (αp) with the optical axis direction and the refractive index of isotropic medium. In this case, there exist singularities as the extreme values (αp = 0 and αp = 90°) and the disappearance of Brewster's angle. This behaviour may be explained by means of the effective electric polarization vector.
