Olive black water as raw material for butanol production
Solventogenic Clostridium spp. were used for butanol production from olive black water considering also the removal of COD. Butanol yields ranging from 0·09 to 0·29 g per g of sugar content and COD removals as high as 85% were achieved in small-scale experiments. © 1988.
