Sumario: | The light intensity profile along the optical axis in an optical system can be controled by the use of appropriate pupils. We propose an iterative numerical method to design these complex pupils in order to obtain different intensity profiles along the axis. The pupils have been implemented onto a phase-only Liquid Crystal Spatial Light Modulator and an experimental set-up has been built-up to obtain the PSF at different planes and to measure the intensity profile along the optical axis. The experimental results are in good agreement with the behavior expected for each pupil. © 2008 American Institute of Physics. |
