Sumario: | We describe a system which allows to eliminate the second and third order frequency-dependent phase of ultrashort laser pulses. It consists of an afocal doublet lens or alternatively a lens-mirror pair, placed between or after the prism compressor, where the spectral components of the pulse are spatially dispersed. The best configurations and proper choice of lenses and prism materials are discussed. Examples and typical values are given for a Ti: sapphire laser cavity, working at 800 nm, but results may be extended to any other cavity. © 1995. |
