Sumario:Littoral deposits were formed during the three transgressive episodes, two during the Late Pleistocene and the third mid-Holocene. The oldest episode is correlated with the Sangamon Interglacial, the middle one with the mid-Wisconsin Interstadial and the youngest is assigned to the mid-Holocene. The deposits belonging to the Sangamon have 14C ages older than 43 000 yr BP. Mid-Wisconsin deposits are those of barrier islands and lagoons. 14C ages for these deposits range between 28 700 and 38 500 yr BP. -from English summary
