Sumario:The nevel reinforced concrete tomography technique uses gamma-rays to "see" inside structures in a non destructive way. The three-dimensional reconstruction, or tomography, of the reinforcement is the main application of this technique. Diameters and positions of all steel bars in a structural section may be determined with an accuracy of ± 1 mm and 0.5 cm, respectively. In addition this technique makes it possible to detect rebar corrosion and honeycombing in the concrete rratrix. This methodology has been used in hundreds of structures and is particularly attractive in cases of inhabited buildings and diagnoses of balconies. Some illustrative examples are given and results obtained in the particular case of two bridges are discussed.
