Sumario:A numerical method for calculating the full spectrum of the helium atom in a box was developed. The calculations were performed for the S-wave model He, in which only spherical states were taken into account. With the help of time propagation of the relaxed wave function, the autoionization rate by monitoring the autocorrelation amplitude in time was calculated. The reliability of the numerical procedure was proved when a Fescbach projection of an eigenvector was absolutely consistent with the relaxed wave function.
