Sumario:The interference fringes obtained in all the space from Young's experiment by superposition of two light beams are well known when the medium is isotropic. In this paper, taking into account the arrangement of that experiment, we shall study the interference fringes due to two waves propagating in a transparent uniaxial medium. By means of this analysis, which is of theoretical character, we will attain a more complete comprehension of light behaviour in these birefringent media.
