Solubilization and fluorescence emission spectra of substances generated by thermal treatment of carbohydrates on silica gel

Reproducible solubilization of flourescent derivatives of glucosamine and glucose from heated silica gel adsorbent is reported. The fluorescence emission spectra of these compounds were also measured. It was found that the flourescent compounds remain stable from -20 to 30°C within a wide pH range (...
