Sumario:The purpose of this essay is to point out the social dimensions of the scientific knowledge towards “crime”, to behold how this concept is included in global common sense, in which ways has been inserted in social subjects speeches. In that nearly diffuse dimension, the knowledge juxtaposition, the different ways to interpret the world, the ebbs and flows of common sense and theoretical production and in its permanent feed-back lanes this essay. I conjecture that “crime” hides its theoretical load, its prescriptive dimension, the facts that it is a prism through which the world can be seen, in which is possible to build an specific worldview. The distinction between scientific concept as a blazon of the “surgical” precision, and the habitual language as the immanence of its antithesis, its vagueness, ambiguity, its flexibility, in “crime” would become diffuse. Solemn and also popular, enforces the respect from science in the capillary minor discourse; constant murmur of standing men but beneath scientific status, “crime” is immersed in social speech in minuscule while is thought in majuscule.
