Sumario:This article describes the progress of a doctoral research on calchaquí-diaguita “El Divisadero” (Cafayate, Salta) community will be presented. In general, the results will be specified including a historical reconstruction from milestones and then developed in greater depth one of them will be described. In this case the location of families in the late 80, their migration and its origins in the valley calchaquí exposed. The proposed methodology is a regressive history is constructed from the intersection between history and anthropology. Since the project started in 2009, it has developed archival work and field in order to make a historical reconstruction. The sources used are varied from academic materials developed in the late 80, notarial and land registry, to ethnographic records the testimonies of members of the community are identified. Therefore, chronicling the hills in this case has to do with the territorial representations, with livelihoods and relations between families.
