No obstante, a través del tiempo se han observado diversas situaciones en las cuales el ejercicio de la soberanía de determinados países se ve perjudicado debido a la influencia de actores extranjeros en sus asuntos internos. A partir de esta situación, y considerando la guerra ruso-ucraniana que ha tenido lugar desde febrero de 2022, el presente artículo estudia el caso de Ucrania, en concreto, el desarrollo de la política exterior en materia de seguridad, con el propósito de analizar si su ejecución se vio influenciada de algún modo por la propia estructura del sistema internacional, en lugar de un Estado en particular. In the study of International Relations, the principle of sovereign equality of all States is transcendental, which is widely accepted by international society and is constantly promoted by the United Nations. However, over time, there have been several situations in which the exercise of sovereignty of certain countries is impaired due to the influence of foreign actors in their internal affairs. Based on this situation, and considering the Russian-Ukrainian war that has been taking place since February 2022, this research studies the case of Ukraine, specifically the development of its foreign policy in the field of security, in order to analyze whether the execution of it was influenced in any way, not by a particular State, but by the very structure of the international system.
