Sumario:The article examines the evolution of relations between the People’s Republicof China (PRC) and Argentina from the normalization of diplomatic tiesin 1972 to Javier Milei’s presidency in 2023. It highlights key milestones,such as the signing of the Treaty of Friendship, Commerce, and Navigationin 1973, and assesses the impact of international and national contexts onthis bilateral relationship. The emphasis is on China’s economic growthsince the late 1970s, Deng Xiaoping’s reforms, and its transformation intoa global power with a high demand for natural resources.
