Specifically, the daily activities that reflect part of this knowledge, typical of teaching work, represent an area of research interest to delve into the decisions and actions of teachers as critical subjects in improving educational quality. In this sense, this paper seeks to contribute to the scientific community by systematizing and giving account of the possible empirical applications of Ethnomethodology to explore the organization or planning of teaching in such a way as to investigate the rules that regulate the pedagogical action to contribute to the training and professional development of teachers.   Este artículo teórico se focaliza en la descripción y la valoración de la Etnometodología como un método de investigación pertinente y útil para el estudio e interpretación de los saberes docentes en el proceso de planificación y ejecución de la enseñanza, así como también, para analizar las interacciones vividas en el aula: las normas, los significados y las prácticas que regulan la acción pedagógica. En específico, las actividades cotidianas que reflejan parte de estos saberes, propios del trabajo docente, representan un área de interés investigativo para ahondar en las decisiones y las acciones del profesorado como sujetos clave en la mejora de la calidad educativa. En este sentido, el escrito busca aportar a la comunidad científica al sistematizar y dar cuenta de las posibles aplicaciones empíricas de la Etnometodología para explorar la organización o la planificación de la enseñanza, de tal manera de pesquisar normas que regulan la acción pedagógica para tributar en la formación y el desarrollo profesional docente.
