Sumario:This work is about the concept of governance in relation to the exercise of legislative democracy and its materialization in buildings that house these practices. We analyze the possible relationship of the term governance with centers of increasingly diversified power, including the different scales legislatures. We extract related features to social perception of power factors. These categories are applied on specific cases of parliamentary buildings in order to understand symbolic repr esentations related to the exercise of power and the implementation of democratic politics. Congress of Argentina is analyzed, and four examples from different scales of parliaments are selected: global, national, local and regional. Finally, general conclusions are posed and some parameters are considered for the analysis of parliamentary buildings. Images of each analyzed sample are included to extend the developed concepts.
