Sumario:At present the majority of automated industrial processes connected to SCADA systems (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition by its English acronym for Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) used traditional architecture (see 'Traditional Architecture "later in this chapter) connecting the viewing stations. This architecture is usually tied to the performance to the SCADA system could offer as connectivity options in its infancy. In recent years SCADA systems were changing their performance connectivity between stations for consultation by the interconnection services offered by current operating systems. The introduction of PCs (Personal Computer) with Windows operating system used as viewing stations, has further fueled the trend to relegate the interconnection services operating system the task of distributing the information to the SCADA system acquires. So, today most SCADA systems using TCP / IP as communication protocol between the stations of accessing data, instead of proprietary protocols. While the topologies that allow SCADA systems were adapted to the supply of current operating systems, they have not changed much compared to those who suggested in its infancy.
