Sumario:The present work describes a gender training program for future professionals in Psychology based on scientific research on sexism and power. The training course was held in a Salvadorean University and aimed at: a) increasing awareness of gender inequalities in everyday life; b) reducing ambivalent sexist beliefs; c) providing participants with useful resources and materials to reduce sexism, sexual violence and homophobic attitudes in social interventions. The training course lasted 21 hours. Empirical evidence supports the effectiveness of the program to reduce participants’ sexism and increase gender violence awareness both immediately after the intervention and 6 months later.
