Sumario:With the purpose of analyzing Kirchner's administrations, the concept of populism has become the focus of a great number of papers. Nevertheless, little has been done in order to identify and systematize Ernesto Laclau‟s opinions related to the posibility of defining these administrations according his line of thought. This work pretends to be a contribution in that direction and has a triple objective. First, it will try to make a dive into the key characteristics of the aforementioned concept. Second, it will attempt to determine if Ernesto Laclau considered Kirchner's administrations could be defined as populism. Third, it will try to establish whether the characterization that the philosopher has made of NK and CFK implied a break or not regarding the previous political experiences he had done, particularly with those that have taken place since the return of democracy.
